Assembling Forman QCW question

There are 4 mid-rails on the Forman QCW. None of the documentation, nor any videos I can find, explain why 2 just have holes for attaching the MDF wasteboard, and 2 have threaded inserts like the outer edge of the outer rails. Can anyone help explain on this fine Fathers Day Sunday?

Seems like maybe I got 2 “secure from above” rails, and 2 “secure from below”.
I assume that the ones with the inserts are for the “secure from above” version.

OK. Confirmed my suspicions! The inner rails with the inserts are the “from above” versions, which are discontinued. This does not interfere with “from below” usage. Cool, now I can continue building this beast!
