I would like to know also. I just got my machine and I’m trying to get everything setup. So, I’m waiting for it!!!

From their website…

Firmware Compatiblity

Easy ATC features are in alpha state for the Redline controller. Full feature will come in a FREE firmware update in the future (est. Q1 2026)

If they are still in Alpha testing, then we have a long way to go. 1Q ends in 2 days.

Now that Q1 has ended is there any update on the required updated ATC firmware?

I can provide an update on the status of ATC support with the RealTime CNC controller. Here are the key points:

  • We recently released version 1.4.18 of the RTCNC controller software. This is the latest “hotfix” release of the 1.4 version which addresses user feedback. There were several important fixes in this release which were important for the upcoming ATC support. They were related to continuous jogging (on-screen and with a gamepad) as well as fixing some machine defaults for the OneFinity Gen 1 Journeyman and woodworker models.
  • Version 1.4.18 was assigned higher priority than the ATC release because the ATC release relies on some of its features.
  • ATC support can be a broad subject so, for clarity, our next release will add support specifically for the Easy ATC by RapidChange. We are also developing support for other ATC models such as the RapidChange Solo and models with dust covers.
  • We have been working on the ATC integration for some time and we are in the late stages of development and testing. The next software release (1.5) will have support for the Easy ATC system.
  • Onefinity and Redline will be providing their internal beta testing feedback to us this week. We expect either a full software release this week or, at minimum, an open beta release that ATC users can install and test.

We have also had some interest in how the Easy ATC will be supported. These are the features and support currently undergoing late-stage internal beta testing:

  • Support for the Easy ATC is native to the RTCNC controller and software. This means generating external macros is not necessary.
  • Our machine settings have been expanded to include a tab specifically for the RapidChange Easy ATC. This tab has all of the parameters and settings for up to four ATC magazines.
  • The ATC setup is performed using a guided wizard which walks the user through setting the ATC pocket locations, testing the collet detection system, and setting the proper machine parameters for loading and unloading the tools/collets.
  • ATC magazines can be installed anywhere in the machine envelope and in any orientation.
  • The “Tool” tab on the main screen now has specialized controls for the ATC which allow the user to quickly load and unload tools.
  • The tool table is improving to allow user-customizable tool descriptions and support for more than 255 tools.

I have included some screenshots from the beta software that is currently being tested. The final layout and controls are subject to change, but they should provide a sense of the new features.

One final item: Onefinity shared this cool photo from their beta testing using three ATC magazines and, yes, that ATC is mounted diagonally on purpose.

I will keep this thread updated with any ATC-related news. Please ask any questions and I will do my best to answer them.

Exciting update - the team has been busy

Will the setup be similar to the Rapidchange (Don’s) WebUI where some parameters need to be determined by the user (like those you mention), but other parameters will then ‘auto-populate’ to simplify the initial setup? From the screenshots (blue boxes/values) it looks like, similar to the WebUI from Don, that all of the parameters can be tweaked and/or modified after the initial setup(?).

I am still waiting on the carousel version of the ATC. Make it so it swings off one of the front feet of the cnc taking up no space on the table. yes I am dreaming, but then these machines were just a dream several years ago and now we have them in our garages and workshops. Go for it Don.

This is very cool and interesting! Question: Where are you plugging in the wires from each controller? I have 2 of the ATC units and have them daisy changed as per the documentation but would like to mount them in a different orientation … Where do those wires go ???

Screen shots look great and looking forward to the update. Thanks for all your hard work!

No WebUI needed  It’s all built into the controller!

Yes, and that is great news, but that is not what exactly was asking :face_savoring_food:

I wanted to know if, like the WebUI, the wizard will populate the balance of the parameters for the user once they have gone through the installation instructions. For example, do I need to know or calculate any z offsets? Also, will some values/defaults be prepopulated like load/unload RPMs etc. to simplify the setup?

Just a suggestion, but in the Tool screen, where you have the tool identified (“T2"), allow the user to add some descriptive text since you’ve got plenty of room & it’d be helpful keeping track of what’s where especially with multiple magazines. Being able to see that T2 is the “1/4 upcut endmill" vs T3’s “1/2 upcut endmill" could be useful.

My hope is that this…

means that your request is a possibility in the future
