I ordered an Elite over the holidays, and while much of it arrived a month ago (including the Masso), the spindle has not. So, it has been sitting in boxes ever since, awaiting that critical part. Now that Masso will start charging a subscription in just a few days, I would like to get whatever updates are available before the deadline hits. Is it possible to update the Masso without setting up the whole machine? What’s the minimum setup I need?
This is a great question. I say take the thing out of the box and find out. No reason it should have to be connected to a machine to update firmware.
I would be doing the same but mine is now behind schedule as of today, closing any window of hope it would arrive before the 15th.
I give the community about 32 minutes to find a way to extract the latest firmware and post it on the net for anyone to download, sans subscription.
Firmware updates for your machine are available for download in your MyWorkshop.
You should go to your Masso “MyWorkshop” account on the net and download all the firmware versions to a usb stick. Then you can update when you have all the parts and the machine set up
Thanks, that makes sense.
From what I understand the latest update is pretty buggy and unstable Onefinity has installed the latest “stable” update already. Be careful updating 5.09 . Just saying If you have 5.07 that is probably the best you can get till this is all resolved. but check with onefinity they can tell you what’s what.
