While waiting for the elite with redline spindle and atc, I wanted to get the collets and nuts ordered. I’ve never used a spindle before so wanted to see if my understanding of collet sizes is correct. The redline is an ER20 so the nuts I need are all ER20 standard nuts right and doesn’t depend on shank size? As for the collets, you need multiple ER20 collets depending on the shank size right? If I mainly use 1/4” bits but want one 1/8” then for the ATC I will need 3 1/4” ER20 collets and 1 1/8” ER20 collet, all with the same standard ER20 nuts?

you need one collet for each shank size. You can buy a set like shown here
But maybe you use only 6 and 8 mm bit shanks. Then those two will be enough. With an ATC, depends on number of how many different tools you use
