I just set up my spindle and am awaiting my tool changer. I need to acquire some collets for the ATC. They are ER20 collets, but I don’t know if I can just order them off of amazon or if there is a better place to get them. Any advice would be great.
I have ordered collets off of Amazon and they were fine with one exception…
One of them had some chips from the machining in the slots so they wouldn’t grab my bits properly…I was able to clear the chips and it’s fine now but take a minute to inspect them closely.
FWIW, I ordered some balanced collet nuts from Avid CNC and they are very nice…really well machined and finished.

They sell Techniks collets with high accuracy T.I.R of .0002"
I bought ER11 for my 65mm spindle and right away you could feel the difference just buy inserting the bits, the fit is very snug. Highly recommend those if you want a premium quality.
