I know it is crazy but i already have an elite journeyman with redline spindle rapid change ATC and stiffy with a Masso controller but I ordered the gen 2 journeyman with the redline controller as well. I was going to sell my elite but it is working well and needs nothing. It is doing a perfect job on my new ultra-low profile clamps that I am selling and is all set up for it. So I have decided to keep them both. I have begun to collect the parts to make another table like my first one but improved and I will use the gen 2 for all my wood carving I would like to do but can’t right now because my present machine is busy doing aluminum LOL. Ok so I DO have a CNC Addiction. I admit it.
Once you get your Gen 2 setup and working well, you can use it to build the table for your Gen 3 when it comes out. ![]()
I have a few machines that i bought years ago that i have still never used.
Have you ever done the thing where you needed a very specific tool for a one-off/occasional job, bought it, then thought real hard about where a good spot to store it would be so you can find it again in the future…. gone to that spot… and found three others?
Or is that just me?
Yep. Lots of times. It’s really frustrating when I know I’ve bought it before but can’t find it in the place I’m sure I would have put it and it’s not there. Then I buy a replacement and put it away but stumble across the other one(s) in what was also a good place but not as good as the one I just stashed away … but can’t remember where that was now ![]()
been there and done that and have the receipts.
nope me too. but as i always say if you can’t find it you don’t have it lol
I feel better knowing this is a common issue. ![]()
A couple of times I’ve ordered that thing I already have from Amazon. Then they suggest additional items that other people have ordered with that item, so I add them to the cart … forgetting that I already have those too. ![]()
Holy smokes, that’s just adding insult to injury, LOL.
I can relate; I have a 1950s Delta 3hp shaper that I bought years ago, along with a chest full of cutters that I still haven’t set up and used. To be honest, setting up and using the cutters does scare me a bit.
I have a grizzly shaper with cutters i have never used though i have used the shaper. to make barn doors for my woodshop.15 x 32 the doors are 6 feet wide and 81” tall. and i made all the hanging hardware myself.
Wow, nice job, they look great!
