I’m having some trouble finding a good bit or bit pair for those long reach cuts. Needs to be a 1/4” shank. If anyone has some experience with one please provide a link to it and what speed and feed rates your using for hard and soft woods.
Not sure how long you need, but recently i needed something just a little longer for a roughing pass on some mystery hardwood, got the job done with an inexpensive bit:
SpeTool Spiral Router Bits with UpCut 1/4 inch Cutting Diameter, 1 inch Cutting Length 3 inch Extra Long HRC55 Solid Carbide CNC End Mill for Wood Cut, Carving https://www.amazon.com/dp/B087M3BRXJ/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_i_B8BCWPJED9N3PBDWK95C?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
Only did the one, so didn’t really dial it in, probably used an adaptive clearing TP w/ ~ .04" optimal load at ~80ipm, no complaints, no obvious runout, though for various other reasons had liberal stock to leave, so a low bar.
Has been a good one for me. Reasonable priced so I use it for long reach as well as cutting MDF so I can keep the Whiteside sharp for the important stuff.
