Drilling a Hole in the Touch Probe

So maybe this is stupid question but is there any reason I couldn’t drill a second hole in my touch probe for the push connector? It is in the way of my fence. See attached.

No reason why not. You could even drill and tap a hole and get rid of the push connector and replace it with a ring lug. That way if the plug gets damaged or the wire breaks you could easily fix it. Just make sure to avoid the circle or the edges where the 1F probes the block. Also make sure the hole is in the thick part of the block, not the flange that locates it on the work.

Good points. Yea I was only thing 3/4 of inch it the left or right.

where did you get your fence at?

I modeled and 3D printed it.

Couldn’t you just as easily print a new fence with the posts out of the way?

The posts were the issue and their pockets were cut into the wasteboard. I ended up scrapping this fence anyway and modifying the post locations for the next wasteboard
