Dust Boot Bracket with "Not in Use" Holder (free)

For the community to enjoy and use.

I am sharing a design of a dust boot bracket which does not slip out when dragging on material. I also designed in a dust boot holder to secure the dust boot when not in use.

.stl files provided for the 2 part assembly.

I printed these using PLA; suggest 5 layer wall thickness, and 40% fill for strength. Also enable “tree” supports for a successful print.

Enjoy.

No machine yet for me and I haven’t even downloaded the files, but I wanted to thank you for sharing them regardless.

Awesome, thanks for sharing. Need to get my 3D printer up and running again, and this’ll likely be the first print coming off it.

Do you have a source for the bolts you used or at least a good description, so I can search?

I load these into my slicer and the scale seems off. Could you provide the bounding box dimensions, so I can adjust the scaling? Thank you. This looks really helpful

The two parts are secured together using either #8-32 or #10-32/24 machine screws. I recommend using wax nuts / lock nuts as there is a lot of vibration on the OneFinity. I am adding the .3mf files (rename the files and remove the .txt extension).
Dust Boot Adapter v7(1).3mf.txt (404.1 KB)
Idle Dust Boot Adapter v10.3mf.txt (112.2 KB)

Let me know how this works out.

Is this dimension correct?

My CAD shows 49.8 mm or 1.9606 inches.

Adding the .step files which should preserve the dimensions.
