Elite Foreman Assembly problem

Just got my Elite Foreman. Two bolts holding the drag chain to the back left side of the left Y axis slide rail are too long. The bolts contact the X bearing block before The White plastic ring around the ball screw makes contact. Leaving about 1/8" gap. Should I cut the bolts or add washers to the cap screw ends?

DO NOT CUT ANY BOLTS!

Did you add the motors yet?

Have not added motors yet. I was sliding the X gantry all the way back on the Y rails to make sure everything is square before tightening bolts holding the bearing blocks to the QCW frame. The gantry slides all the way to the plastic ring ont the right side, but hits the bolt as shown in the left side, leaving a gap shown in picture 2. Shouldn’t both sides slide back to the plastic ring?

Is the monitor bracket installed?

I didn’t think of adding the motor. Thanks. That should back out the bolt like adding washers. The bolt seems to have threads somewhat stripped inside the plastic bracket. May back out if I push at the same time I turn.

It’s in the back. Just getting it squared up before tightening bolts. I think adding the motor will hold the bolt out.

Ok problem solved. There is another nut covered by the plastic bracket. Remove the bracket and install the motor. Replace bracket.
