starting to think about an enclosure for dust and noise reduction. I’ve seen some examples, some very intriguing. One thing not mentioned or I missed is air flow. Do you need a vent or something to provide fresh cooler air into the chamber. since the router is air cooled and produces some heat and dc sucking air out wouldn’t you need a way to take air in to help keep router cooler. thanks
You definitely need to replace the air the DC is taking out, or the DC won’t be effective. That would likely provide enough air for the router too.

so something like a vent, or a small box fan should do the trick
You don’t need forced air, the dust collection is already pulling the air.
You’ll likely have some holes for cords, gaps around doors, etc that will provide some air intake. Add more holes as required.

What @Atroz said for air flow. As far as goes dust I’ve found a good extractor really helps without the need for an enclosure. If your chief concern is sound, you’ll need to provide some kind of sound absorbing liner as just putting the machine in an enclosure will cut the sound by a minimal amount ( voice of experience )
