Two Questions: First, recently when setting up my toolpath for 3d carve I noticed that the Finish tool used was .125 TBN and then a Rest machine .0625 TBN. When I checked the estimated time to complete the .125 TBN showed 00:02:24 and the .0625 TBN showed 04:02:01. I have done many carvings however I know the .0625 is closely accurate but not the .125. I have tried to change bit sizes but no change. I use a Rapid Rate (600) and Scale Factor (inches/min). Sometimes when I change the bit it alters the initial Finish toolpath with a more accurate estimated time, but not this time, can anyone explain what I am missing?
Second, if I decide to do a Finish with a .125 TBN, and not sure what the Rest machining will produce, so I decide to follow-up with both a .0625 TBN followed by a .03125TBN. Hypothetical speaking, this carve could take many hours, what I want to do is divide this carve into 2 days, so do I shutdown at end of day one and record the G-code line and restart the next day with my Masso?
