First Anniversary - show and tell

It has been one year since I purchased my Woodworker and I thought you might like to see it in my shop. On the left is the controller along with a case (made on the CNC) for my bits, wrenches and probe block. On the right is a custom made dust collection system.

Below is a hexagonal box with seven inlays, all done on the CNC. Looking for new challenges for next year.

That’s a nice clean setup with room to move w/o tripping over important stuff (or falling into the spinny bits!).

Looks great.

Did you use spalted maple on the sides? In any case great choice adds to the visual interest and the overall appeal to the piece.

I used Birdseye Maple for the sides. I didn’t have a piece wide enough for the top so I got lazy and used white oak. Thank you for your kind comment.

Honestly I wouldn’t change a thing, it works really well together. All and all a great use of a different species.

It’s nice sometimes when trying to finish a project we end up doing something we wouldn’t have thought of, and have a unique result.
