I found a series of tutorials on YouTube that explains the basics of using the carveco maker software. He goes through all of the options of the software and made it easy to understand how to use it.

I have been programing industrial machine since the late 80’s but never used any software to do the programing. I actually thought out a plan for tool usage and figured out the tool path manually. So yes it was a bit easier for me to get on board with software but had the advantage of know all the G-code to do the programing. I am not a fan of software programing because it does it the long way, point to point and it doesn’t use the can cycle that are available in the machine. The can cycles can cut a program down for a couple of hundred lines to about half of that.
