last year my cnc foreman sat on my shop floor for months due to building a house,
by feb 2024 I put it together ( was excited ) and hit the ground running… I was getting off the ground learning Carveco and on a big learning curve when I shutdown in may and started a summer project on my solar array… long story short
I finished my solar array ,(free power now ) and turning back to my cnc seems like Im starting all over… Carveco has alot to it. what are the opinions out there, should i jump track to something else or barrel thru it. I really want to get good on this machine and hav’nt scratched the surface yet
So far i am sticking with the free subscription because it is free but the more i learn it, the more i like it. It may be a different story for me if it weren’t free, we will see in six months.
Practice and experiment using cheap pine with stock speeds and feeds.
I played with the Carveco that came with my onefinity. I have no doubt it’s good software and for all intents and purposes will do the same thing as any other software. The main downside to it is the lack of resources. they have some free tutorials, but I found the vast majority of YouTube videos and even plans online come with Vectric instructions. I was able to learn very quickly as a result.
Short story long, I ended up purchasing VCarve as a result. I made my first project within an hour of installing it.
