Incomplete channel route

Folks,
I am carving the neck for an electric guitar project and am having trouble with the tool path of the truss rod channel. I am using an imported DXF file that file gives me a complete contour profile but the channel route gives me only one end of the design. The truss rod channel consists of a long carve down the center of the neck with a one inch access hole at one end; it is this access hole that does carve, but not the rest. Any ideas? I have the original 35X woodworker and am using VCarve Pro.
Thanks.
Mark

Sounds to me like you have an open vector that V carve is ignoring
if that is the case here’s 2 possible solutions
First separate or ungroup the vectors
Click on the vector that is not cutting properly and offset it by 0.001 “ and connect the ends creating a closed shaped
You won’t notice the cut being any wider that normal

Could be your channel is more narrow than the bit you have specified. Vcarve won’t allow a bit that is too large into geometry that is too small.
