I have the old style control journeyman, when I purchased it you were supposed to be able to see the tool paths of the g code either on the controller or through a PC, I have not had any luck with this, does anyone know if it’s possible?
Thanks
not with the buildbotics controller but with the cad software.
Not on the screen connected directly to the controller, but if I connect with my phone or a PC, it will show the toolpaths on the externally connected device.
That’s what I was remembering, was hoping that was the case. Would you have the time to tell me how you connect? I was told you can connect PC by wire or wireless, but I have had no success at all
I have my controller hardwired via the LAN port. I have my router set to a static IP for the controller as well so it doesn’t change. Usually, I just take out my phone and punch in the IP address shown on the controller screen (I use the built-in Safari browser on my iPhone) and view from there if I need visual confirmation of something. I never had any luck getting a consistent wireless connection on the controller so I ended up just running a hardwire from the mesh system access point I have in the shop.
Ok, I just made sure I was on the same network and frequency on both devices, entered the I.P. of the onefinity router in the address bar of chrome browser and was able to see graphics and control the machine from the phone and or PC . Looks good so far. I can hardwire it in easily, I’ll do that in the near future. Thanks for the help.
