Is my upgraded machine now an Elite Gen 1 or Gen 2?

I just upgraded my Buildbotics based X50 Woodworker via the IPP program to the “Elite Gen 2 Redline”. When selecting the machine type on the Redline controller, should I select “ELITE Gen1 Series” Woodworker or “ELITE Gen2 Series” Woodworker?

I’m confused because the IPP upgrade is listed on the website as “Elite Gen 2 Redline Upgrade Kit”, but I don’t see how that has increased my workspace 1" in both the X and Y axes.

You now have a ‘Elite Gen1 Series woodworker’

Gen 2 series would have the integrated ball screw covers.

Thank you very much! :+1:

@OnefinityCNC Unless I’m missing something, you should probably rename the Buildbotics to Redline IPP upgrade kit from “Elite Gen 2 REDLINE Upgrade Kit (Buildbotics to Redline) | Closed Loop” to “Elite Gen 1 REDLINE Upgrade Kit (Buildbotics to Redline) | Closed Loop”. This might help others avoid the same confusion that I had.

Done! Great suggestion
