I was hoping I could use SolidCAM in my SolidWorks to create my gcodes but it’s SolidCAM for Makers and has only two Milling post processors: ISO 3D Milling and Mach4 Milling. (They supposedly don’t allow any more in the Makers version either.) Will either of these work with this BB based controller? (Machine is not set up yet so I can’t simply try it.)
Ok a late reply but here goes.
First I used to have a Journeyman with a BB controller… Now I have the Masso.
I found NO listing for the gcode supported by the BB controller, but references the Camotics. Using Camotics manual : CAMotics (link)
Assuming you don’t do funking stuff like tool changes the GCode “should” be pretty vanilla. I would run the GCode through Camotics, if it is squawk free you should be fine,
Yes lot’s of qualifiers.
As a point of reference, I did the post processor work for FreeCad and the Masso controller. Prior to that I just used Grbl and never had an issue with the BB controller.
