Machine accuracy

Interested in the overall positioning accuracy and repeatability of the Onefinity machinist machine.

Thanks !

Hi Brian,

The machinist is an amazingly accurate machine (as is the woodworker). With the proper tools & knowledge, there’s almost no limit to how close the machine can be dialed in. I have not done testing & tweaking necessary to quantify that, but this machine has the design & components that should get it easily into the .002" realm. I was within that range on my modified x-carve, and the machinist is a much more capable machine than that was.

Brian - I posted a message about tuning the machine for accuracy. During the process, I found essentially zero back lash and near perfect repeatability. I plan on a video about home repeatability which is a little more suspect, but overall, no complains and far superior to my X-Carve.
