I have posted this on the Masso Forum many times and its been crickets.
I would think 1F would want/help get this moving. Can someone call Masso
from the CEO office at 1F to CEO at Masso and point out that firmware V5.1 has been in beta for over 1 year , more like 1 year and 3months. What a Joke… SO what I think we ALL would like is two very basic fixes/changes.

  1. Fix — The Gcode stops updating after 2000lines of code - Come on lets fix this
  2. Speed override to 150%

Yes I see a lot of other changing in the readme BUT can we maybe pull out and release a version V5.08 ??? to get 1 and 2 above DONE. If I am off base then delete this, but if others are on the same page then lets “Blow” up this Topic!!

I love my 1F but…

So is 5.1 what’s currently on machines when they ship?

And is there no way to roll back to an earlier firmware?

You know way more than me about this and if you are concerned about it I am also.

SO no I wish, The current released version is V5.07 and V5.1b has been in beta for over 1year and 3months with lots of new stuff, But I think a lot of us would like to see 1 and 2 above Like yesterday

Thanks I am working the masso forum as well, but its VERY VERY quiet over in Masso forum. I would sent $$$ to get this fixed/updated.

This is what the Moderator on the masso forum replied.

SO Not helpful, If I could I would return my masso. The Masso Forum is the worst I have seen. I hope 1F is looking for a new vendor! So BAD!!

Can we get a date on the release of the long overdue firmware V5.1
You will be waiting along time for version 5.1 when we are currently on v5.07 and v5.08 will be released sometime this year.

The Gcode real time issue and the speed override is very much needed…
This is available in beta version v5.100b and will be added to v5.08 when it is released.

So this morning I see my simple post to get us a date from Masso on release of V5.08 or V5.1 has been deleted (On the Masso Forum), I would say to 1F management, again find a new vendor or fix this! Everytime I run a job of 2000lines of gcode (Which is like every job) the real time update STOPS I am sure a lot of new users see this and ask the same question WHAT GIVES? SO dumb. All we are asking for is

  1. Fix the 2000 gcode line update. ---- OR Remove Updating all together.
  2. Add in the feedrate/speed override to 150%

Like what the rest of the world is doing?

Again, we have no control over what Masso does and we feel the same. Continue to post on their forum, social media, fb groups.

We’re going to close this thread as we are beating a dead horse.
