I recently finished machining the acrylic prototype plates for my new Z axis assembly. The test fit of these plates and the linear motion components was successful, so I went on to machine the first of these plates in aluminum.
I finished it and am very pleased with the result. I have just finished creating another video which summarizes the process - work holding, Fusion CAD/CAM, feed and speed details, as well as sample video clips of all machined toolpaths. The video is ~14.5 minutes long, here is the YT link … https://youtu.be/oIi2kkF70QM
I hope you find it informative, especially those users who are wondering about Onefinity’s ability to machine aluminum.
