Mount 80 mm on onefinity x50

Can I put an 80 mm spindle on the x50 without changing the z axis assembly. Also does anyone know where i can buy an x axis driver for the x50 journeyman

Hey Hicdavid,

you don’t need to change the Z axis assembly, but surely the spindle mount if you have only the 65 mm mount for the hand trim router.

Do you have an Original Series or an Elite Series?

If you have an Elite Series, you can order it with a 80 mm spindle mount and you’re done.

If you have an Original Series, it will always be necessary to exchange the 65 mm stock spindle mount with the optional 80 mm spindle mount. For this, there is this video from the Onefinity Support:

Note that this only applies to Original Series with standard Z-16 assembly. If you upgrade your X-50 Original Series to the Z-20 “heavy” assembly, you can order it with a 80 mm spindle mount and you’re done. But you don’t need this upgrade to run a 80 mm spindle. If you have an Original Series X-50 with Z-16 assembly, you’re fine, you just need to swap the 80 mm spindle mount as shown above.

What do you mean with x axis driver?
