Hello, I have an Elite Journeyman, just upgraded to 5.07 and the new 2k stepper package this morning.
What I’m wondering, and contemplating how I will tackle, is cutting a 6’ by 32” slab, but cutting it in 2 separate cuts. Slide the piece in with it overhanging the table on the open side, cutting half of it, then flipping it and cutting the other half.
In my mind this should be doable using dowel pins to locate and hold the piece in place. I’m going to experiment with some plywood and various vcarve variables but am curious if anyone has already done this and can point me in the right direction.
Where it gets difficult to me, is doing the initial dowel holes. Measuring and cutting them to be aligned with the machine seems difficult to me. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
