New Masso firmware upgrade to 5.11 causing Z-offset to be incorrect

I just uploaded the new Masso 5.11 firmware on my Elite Foreman. Now when I run my machine its cutting way above my stock piece on the z-axis. I home the machine before I start. I also zero the WCS with a touch probe on the stock piece, but I still run into the issue of the z-axis cutting with my redline spindle doing the entire job about 6 inches above my workpiece. What could be causing this issue, and how to resolve it?

It seems the Masso controller is running in ā€˜Dry Run’ mode on the MDI screen. Its showing as Tool 0 being selected and the laser instead of the actual cutting tool. Maybe that’s why its simulating the cut in the air.

I’m going to try exiting the Dry Run mode and run in normal operations mode and see if that works.

I solved the issue.

I went into the F1 screen, went down to the Multi Head tab, clicked off the ā€˜enable’ check box for laser tool and know it works in its normal mode.

My only guess of how that box got checked was during my firmware upgrade to the latest Masso version, 5.12

I just upgraded my Masso from 5.11 to 5.12.

Went into the F1 screen, went down to the Multi Head tab, and the Laser was ā€œenabledā€. So I clicked off the check box.

Your postings saved me the grief of trying to diagnose this. Many thanks for posting about this.
