New Toy for the Tyke

I just finished this toy for the grandchild of a friend. I’ve been doing CNC for a while, but it still amazes me that all the holes in the shapes line up perfectly with the pegs! Using VCarve, I laid the whole thing out on a master sheet, then created copies of the board and the shapes to their own sheets. Using a negative offset with the pocket feature, I didn’t have to go through and resize the holes, all set to .75 in diameter. I used -.010 in offset for the pockets in the board (hammer fit) and -.0625 in offset for the holes in all the shapes, so little fingers can just drop them onto the pegs.
