I am a member of the Facebook Onefinity group, but for some reason, FB locked me out of my account almost two months ago and I can’t get back on. This is my only source of support.
I just built my Foreman Elite with a 220V water-cooled PWNCNC spindle. My electrician installed a subpanel and dedicated circuits for the machine last week. The machine homes and jogs fine, but I can’t get the VFD to turn on. I have checked everything and there is no reason it shouldn’t work. I have power at the plug when inserted into the VFD but it will not turn on. I have talked to PWNCNC numerous times and we are both stumped. They sent me a new VFD and the replacement does the same thing! At this point, I have a $7000 boat anchor and I’m extremely frustrated. ANY suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
Maybe have your Electrician guy come back and check. PWNCNC 220V systems are very good
and if you have tried two different PWNCNC 220v systems then for sure it must be your 220v drop.
Onefinity must be deleting your post because this is not the PWNCNC forum.
I don’t know if it could be the cause, but I have 117V between each leg and the ground at the plug. I did talk to my electrician, but he’s stumped too.
Yeah, I’m gonna talk to him. I talked to PWNCNC again after I thought about the 117V issue. He checked the manual and it says that the voltage should be within +/- 10%. I’m thinking possibly a line conditioner might help. I’m gonna look into that.
Since this is a specific spindle manufacturer question and nothing to do with the Onefinity machine, please post it on their forum. You’ll get the most complete, correct answers.
Aftermarket spindles are not supported.
