I have purchased the QCW for my journeyman, but waiting on it to arrive. Does the QCW get attached to the table or does it sit all just sit on the table?
Thanks!

As designed it just sits on the table.
There are holes under the base mounts that could be used to attach it. You’d need to add some kind of threaded insert so you could bolt it down from under the table. Rivnuts or similar would work. The optional adjustable feet that 1F sells for it ($30?) come with inserts.
If you don’t have access from under the bench top you’re mounting it to, you’ll have to modify the bases yourself. You’d need to drill an access hole in the top of the bases so you can get a socket & extension in to screw down into the bench top. You could also try coming in from the tube ends but you’d likely need to remove one of the bolts holding the base to the tube. I found it easier to drill the access hole.
I cut some L shaped brackets that I placed to the outside of each foot trapping the QCW frame within them so it can’t shift on the table. Doesn’t stop it from lifting but that seems unlikely given the weight of the whole machine with the QCW frame is over 100 pounds.
IIRC the inside length of each leg is 2 inches and outside is 4. I cut four 4x4 squares and took a 2x2 out of one corner on each. Two minutes on the mitersaw to chop the four square and less than two minutes more on the bandsaw to take one corner out of all four stacked up. Done.
Thanks for the info. Would you mind showing a picture if you get a chance?
