QCW frame is a major dissapointment

I bought the GEN 1 Elite Foreman last year. I’m only now able to set it up. I bought it to make my cabinet making process more streamline and easier. And to work with fabricating ACM panels (which require high accuracy). But working with this machine so far has been a nightmare. My intention was to use this machine to create blind dados. I understand that this is a trial and error process until you can get those exact dimensions dialed in.

When cutting the tenons for the cabinets, I was getting a difference in thicknesses across the width of the sheet. In other words the depth of the cut was not consistent. This lead me to believe that the table i built was not level and was the contributing factor. So I went ahead and got the QCW frame. After leveling, tramming the machine and surfacing the spoil board, I was still getting the same error. Only afterwards I found out that my QCW frame is sagging. Now I have to come up with a system to prop certain points on the frame to keep it from sagging. Not to mention while testing the surfacing, I’ve noticed that when I apply slight pressure on the spoilborad, it sags and the bit just hovers over.

So I can conclusively say that the QCW frame is not rigid. I didn’t get the Foreman or all the accessories on any deals or specials. I paid full price. I felt like I have wasted my money on it since it costed me double to have it shipped to my country (not to mention the import taxes I had to pay).

I’m not sure if anyone else has had this problem. But if you do, I feel ya!

Are you sure you aren’t seeing a hold down issue if you saw it on both tables. When I got my first cnc about 20 years ago, I had issue with depth not being consistent. It turns out once the wood got cut surface tension made the wood move. You can build a vac hold down and that will cure your issues, or use more hold downs.
