Hi all. Need some help. Not too experienced with the setup. I just received my redline controller to upgrade my Masso to Redline. Trying to connect the Redline Controller to the Onefinity - Air Cooled, 2.2Kw (80mm DIA) Plug & Play Spindle Kit. I followed the instructions video but I do not see instructions on how to connect the Redline Controller to the VFD. There is a video on how to program but not how to connect. Any help would be appreciated.
There should be a computer type connector that would goto the redline to the vfd.

I just faced the same issue.
I had a Redline Spindle from Onefinity and the MASSO.
The upgrade kit does NOT have the cable needed to connect the Redline Controller to the Redline Spindle.
I just ordered one from Redline… 
$40 delivered.
The upgrade kit does not come with any spindle cables. We do offer it if your moving another redline spindle to the new redline controller.

Just a suggestion for the onefinity team. Since the customers are ordering the upgrade through you, maybe you should either include the cable or have an option during the checkout to ask for what device the customer has so we don’t go through this experience. I am also paying a $20 shipping fee for a $20 cable which should have been ordered and included as part of the upgrade kit.

My BB upgrade will be delivered tomorrow. I have the Redline 2.2 Spindle. Do I need to order another cable? How do I check if I need it?
Yes. The VFD cable isn’t included so as not to force the cost of it to those who do not have a Redline spindle/vfd (there are still many who use makita routers or aftermarket spindles) and would end up with a cable they wouldn’t use.
We did take your advice and added the important note to the listing so it’s clearer that the Redline Spindle comms cable is not included. Thanks for the tip!

So I had previously bought a Redline Spindle and VFD for my BB based X50 machine. And I just received my BB to Redline controller/Elite upgrade kit. Is there another cable I need?

Each controller requires a specific comms cable. BB, Masso, Redline controllers.

Thank you. It certainly makes sense why you don’t automatically include the Redline VFD cable. But…you guys should definitely add an option on the order page for the user to specify/select their current router/spindle setup so that their kit comes with the cables they need. Just like you do with the Z20 slider. It’s a little frustrating to now have to spend another $40 ($20 for cable, $20 for shipping) when it could’ve easily been thrown into one of the boxes with the rest of the upgrade kit. Not to mention now having to wait another week or so for a cable to arrive after waiting for months for the upgrade kit. I’m glad I didn’t start the upgrade process and have my machine down for a week or so.
