I finally got my CNC and Redline Spindle set up, but I cannot seem to get them working together.
On my controller, I set up the Redline VFD under Tools, and I see the Redline is connected and status shows ‘ok’, however the commands I send do not get my spindle running.
It used to work under manual mode, I could activate the manual button/options and turn the spindle on. However, now if I turn the spindle on for more than half a second, it give me Error 2.
I went through the documentation (https://www.redlinecnc.com/_files/ugd/32d749_9654469470ba4dd0baa3655b39407685.pdf) and did the factory reset. That did not solve it. So I tediously went through every single configuration option (listed on page 47) and ensured my setup matched the documentation. Basically every setting needed to be adjusted here, which didn’t seem right to me, but either way it did not solve my issue.
It feels like there’s something misconfigured in the spindle/VFD, but I am at a loss as to what to try next. I’ve exhausted ChatGPT and Google. You guys are my last hope.
