Redline collet threads

I just installed my 65 mm Redline spindle. When installing a bit with a 1/4" shank, I can only screw the collet on a few threads. I am able to tighten it and it seems to be working but I would feel more comfortable engaging a few more threads to avoid stripping the first few.

Make sure that you are snaping the collet firmly in the nut before installing it on the spindle. this is different than a router collet.

Thanks, that did the trick. I see there is mention of that in the instruction manual but it is easy to miss.
