Redline controller upgrade to work with Pwn Spindle

I would like to upgrade to the Redline controller from a Masso and have a Pwn 80mm water cooled spindle and was wondering if it will integrate with the Redline contoller

I’m in the same boat. I have a PWN VFD, I’m sure there is a way, however I haven’t been able to do it.

do you have the redline controller? whats been the problems, I know PWNCNC is working on a cable. although im pretty sure the onefinity redline cable will work.

I do have the Redline. I did order the cable from onefinity but have not gotten it to work. May have to wait on PWN to make one.

have you reached out to PWNCNC? pretty sure its just a program change in the VFD

I did. They said they haven’t gotten a hold of a redline to see what needs to be done on their end.

Has anybody gotten the PWNCNC VFD to interface with REDLINE CNC controller?

I have purchased the interface cable from PWNCNC to interface with Redline but am getting “Communications Error”

I’m coming from Buildbotics and in their configuration there are parameters to specify baud rate, parity and bus ID for the VFD. These are important parameters to know but REDLINE does not expose any of these, so there’s no way to know how to set up the VFD.

email PWNCNC they had a problem with cables prior to 3/9. He’ll send you a new adapter and they work perfect . He has a KB up in his forum.

And mine is working.

PWN responded to my inquiry and mentioned that the wires in the cable were reversed. I just went into the VFD and swapped the wires and that fixed the problem.

Thanks for the tip.

I’d still get the correct adapter, if you ever wanna sell it or something.
