I am finally moved and was able to get my 1f Gen two set up again. I have been playing around with the machine, getting things dialed in. I noticed when hitting the target button in to return home, the machine makes some horrible screeching. This was not a problem moving from the same location under ULTRA using the JOG only function. I assume it is steppers screaming for some reason. Just an FYI, I went into the stepper setting and dialed them back to 7 and 15k ish and the problem is gone. I’m sure I will lose some speed doing this, but if 1f has any other suggestions please let us know. Thanks!
It’s just physics at play. Rapid return somewhere is moving the axis seperately at different speeds. This is why you don’t hear it any othe time when jogging or cutting. Nothing to worry about! It’s jus the harmonics of the two ballscrews moving at different speeds at the same time.
