Which software for rotary axis toolpath are you using?
VCarve desktop does not even import my STL files without errors due to the complexity I believe.

I am a cnc programmer/machinist. I found featureCAM is easy to use for a 4th axis wrapping text around a cylinder. I believe it’s owned by AutoDesk. May not be your cheapest alternative….
