Screen Size To Small for My Old Eyes

Grant Davis That is the J Tech laser that Onefinity sells as an accessory

Bill - I think it’s just the web UI, which is accessible from any browser. As long as the controller is on the network, you can control via a browser just like the touch screen.

My eyes are marginal for the 7 inch as well. If anyone knows of a 12-16 inch direct replacement please let me know.
Laptop works but a direct connection screen is nice as well.

Thanks Kurt, I had not seen one mounted and didn’t recognize it when I blew up the picture.

You can use all option and functions using the iPad or iPhone (Safari) or any other web browser. However, the only limitation is that you cannot upload a file using the iPad or iPhone.

So, what I like about being able to control the 1F remotely from another computer is, my other computer is a laptop that also converts to a tablet, meaning it has a touch screen. And it’s bigger than 7"…

@BruceM - that is what I do. I use my primary computer to upload files, change settings, enter manual commands. I only use the 7" monitor to initiate jobs and light jogging that requires more precision than the controller can provide.

I am looking over your shop set up. Is there anything you would do differently? I am now ready to do something to connect my shop to my connection in the house from spectrum internet. Thank you for your help.
Dave

My shop is too far away to use wifi from the source router. So I bought some direct burial ethernet cable and ran it 250 feet underground and connected it to an ethernet switch. From the switch, I went to another wifi router just to get a strong wifi signal and also from the switch I went to all my computers in the shop. Works flawless.

Charlie, thank you for your response. I am going to do something just like that. It is only 150’ run for me and the underground conduit is already in I just need to pull the cable. I just had spectrum come to the house today and they updated our equipment. I only have one computer and one CNC in the shop. Plus a couple iPads. So for me it is cat 6 cable and a router.if I need more someday I can add a switch.
Your layout helped to solidify this plan for me thank you

Has anyone tried Powerline (PL) adapters? I assume they’re available in the US, but these plug directly into a power socket close to the router, a network cable is plugged between the router and the PL adapter. Then you would use a second PL adapter next to the CNC machine and connect a network cable between them.

You would need to have both locations on the same power supply, but this worked for me between the house (main computer) and my shed/workshop (slave computer).

This is one of many versions available in the UK.

(Topic is a few months old, so maybe I’m too late, sorry!)

I watched to video but it doesn’t tell how to connect the phone or I just don’t see it. Any help with connection instructions???

To do that transfer from the computer to the OF box do you use the RJ-45 port on both units?
