I just picked up WIMAXIT 12inch Portable Monitor Dual USB Type-C Touchscreen and that work fine.

here is that list of touch displays that work with the Onefinity Controller.

As the Onefinity Controller contains a Raspberry Pi, any HDMI (or DVI-D or DVI-I which is compatible to HDMI) computer monitor will do, and of course any USB input device like keyboards, mice, trackballs (I like trackballs on CNC controllers. Unlike mice they need no space on a surface and are also very practical when you are standing, since they also work when mounted on a vertical surface ) e.g. the Kensington Orbit with Scroll Ring (usable for both right/left-handers)

The list of monitors above is for Touch Monitors, the touch device inside the monitor is an USB input device too and has to be connected independently of the display part of the monitor.

Don’t choose too small touch display

What I think about Touch screens is that on a CNC controller or a similar machine, one should always think of “how thick is my index finger?”, and choose a monitor size where the buttons of the virtual display keyboard and the buttons fo the Jog Pane are bigger than your finger tip. That would mean that the monitor to choose should be rather large. If it’s too small, you press wrong buttons too easily. For that reason, I never thought of buying the touch monitor Onefinity offered (it is for very, very small people and you should not have presbyopia (but people >45 usually have) )

Some people use other touch displays and stronger aftermarket display arms. For search criteria to find a touchscreen compatible with Onefinity and Buildbotics Controller see here;

But neither you need to connect a display directly to the Onefinity Controller nor is it mandatory to use a Touch Display. You can use a mouse and a keyboard instead and any old HDMI (or DVI-D or DVI-I which is compatible to HDMI) computer monitor connected to the Onefinity Controller. Using a Touch display on a CNC Router comes from the desire to have a display directly at the machine where there could be wood dust which normal keyboards and mice don’t like.

But you don’t need to attach a monitor to the controller directly at all. You can operate the CNC Controller from remote over Ethernet or WiFi from another computer and it has the advantage that you can see the CAMotics tool path simulation that is not shown on a display directly connected to the controller.

And of course you can have this other computer directly besides the CNC too

I would expect that the screen of a CNC control panel uses the entire space for useful control and information fields, and preferably without scrolling, as usual on CNC control panels. Yes, I know, the Onefinity Controller UI is a web page, and the viewport a chromium web browser, so what does not fit on the screen is accessible through scrolling. The problem is that on the first page, you have too much content to fit on a display that is at same time very small and also in landscape orientation. You have content accessible only by scrolling downwards. What I think is the best for a web page with much vertical content is to rotate it by 90° and use portrait orientation (I think I posted how to do this the other day).

But with a touch screen that is so minuscule that it is only for fingers of young children, the buttons would get even smaller if you used portrait orientation (since the width would decrease), and thus even less usable. I also think that the Onefinity UI page does not nicely adapt to less width, so you would need a monitor witch enough resolution. But with a nice 24" monitor, portrait orientation woud be ideal for a CNC control panel that is a scrollable web page

Also, here is the screen shot with the not connected message and also a valid IP address. FYSA I can connect to it with a browser so it is not connected. Yes, I am using a usb WiFi dongle. Yes, it is the Onefinity recommended one.

yes, there is some screen area wasted The Masso doesn’t seem to need that much space for this information. Or look at the nice QtPyVCP you can have on LinuxCNC.

PS: I have no monitor attached to the Onefinity Controller (that I have here for testing purposes), but with a chromium browser, you would usually be able to zoom in and out the User Interface with Ctrl-+ and Ctrl--. Maybe you can get everything on the screen by zooming to 70%? In my chromium-based vivaldi browser, it’s also a general setting in Menu → Settings → Appearance.

What is the native resolution of this monitor?

It looks like the native resolution is 1920 x 1080.
My touchscreen is actually an ELO Touch computer with Win10, and I am connecting through the web interface to my Onefinity. When I originally tried portrait mode I did not really think about just zooming out slightly. Just tried it out and it looks amazing in portrait mode with no scroll bars. Thanks for the idea!
