Selecting opposite of what Carbide Create chooses to route

Hi All
Let’s say I want to route out a disk in a metal sheet. In Carbide Create the program always selects to “pocket” it out so that I have a circular hole in the sheet rather than a disk. What option do I select, (contour, pocket,…), so that the routing is done on the outside of the circular line rather than the inside of the circular line? Or, do I have to make a solid out of the CAD circles and then export an stl file and approach it that way?

Jim,
Try this question on the Carbide 3d forum, you’ll get a more correct answer there about their software.

You’ll want to use the Contour toolpath with the Offset Direction of “Outside/Right” . This will make a disc instead of a circular hole.
