Sorry for not the right category, but once again, I could not find this topic. Where can I find a detailed instruction on setting up those fiddly inner cup and discs correctly. I have noticed that none of my bowl bits will fit inside any of them. In that case what do I do to prevent them from slipping down out of the collet? which can be extremely dangerous. and don’t tell me the little o rings help, because they are not on the right side of the collet to prevent the bit from slipping down
The little O-rings help…
with extended shank tooling…
From the manual…
“Below are images showing the use of a ¾” bowl cutting endmill being with the Easy ATC. This particular tool was purchased with an extended shank which allows the use of an O-ring on either side of the collet. This is recommended as the top O-ring functions much like the cup in keeping the tool from slipping down in the collet.”
I use a short piece of shrink tubing on the end above the collet, I lose maybe 1/8 of length but for me it works and the bit never moves.
Pat
I just ordered one. thanks
pez that is a great idea
