Spindle size for onefinity

What is the largest size spindle that can be used on the one finity

80 mm is the largest option.

I am speaking of the power of the spindle. Can onefinity handle a 2.2 kw spindle. Thanks

There is a fair amount of entries on here, but the 800 watt, and 1.6 Kwatt, as well as a 2.2 Kwatt have all been posted about successfully. The .8 and 1.6 KW are compatible with the original mount without modification, but the 2.2 KW is a different mount you have to upgrade to (65mm body vs 80mm body)

my concern was if the Finity could handle the torque of the 2.2 kw spindle will be mostly cutting ply

The spindles are driven from VFD’s that (Typically) have power curves to eliminate too much torque being introduced into the frame.

I don’t know for a fact, but I’m sure it can handle it and I would make adjustments if it were not.
