Hey Chris @SHW , sorry for my delay in responding… I haven’t been on here much lately.

This actually never transpired into much. That speaks volumes for how well designed & built the Onefinity really is. The only thing I changed on the machine itself was the addition of solid stops. So instead of the homing operation hard-stopping against the bearings, they stop against solid stops bolted to the front feet of the machine. This ensures absolute repeatable machine squareness, even of one of the bushings are inadvertently moved (loose retaining screw perhaps). It also creates a 1mm gap between the bushings & feet, so you aren’t homing the machine against swarf buildup on the rails that ends up getting packed between the bushings & feet.

I have a thread somewhere here that describes this, with an Amazon link to the parts I used. If you want to learn more about this and can’t find the link, let me know and I’ll find the info for you. I had also played with the idea of a spindle mount that would accommodate a Kress style spindle, but that would have been a bit ambitious of a project where the means didn’t really justify the ends.

Other than that, I’ve done some upgrades to my machine frame, but those are nothing that would apply to anyone else’s machine because mine is unique.
