Question on the quality of STL files. On some stl I really like but are small. My question is, if you increase the size two or three times the original does it lose quality on the end 3X larger size.

Hi Daniel - I could be wrong, but STL are based on a triangular mesh. The larger you scale up the item, the larger the triangles will be, and the resultant decrease in ‘quality’. You can use something like meshmixer to remix the larger item and retain some fidelity. Hope this helps.

Yes that was great, I intend to do a project that has me upscaling an item on my project 4 times. Was just curious with the question. Might not see a difference at only 4 but more I might. Thanks again
