Hey everyone, I’ve got an issue I’m trying to troubleshoot. I built my workbench from a steel Kreg rolling bench with 3/4 4x8 MDF double stacked for 1.5 inch thick table. I had everything trimmed and perfect and then haven’t been able to use the machine for quite a while. I started using it again about a week ago and botched a program and ran my bit over an aluminum work holding bracket and snapped the bit.
Yesterday, I fixed my code and then ran it only to find out that the project cuts were much deeper at the front of the machine than the back. Today I tried to tram and the front of the table is about 0.1 higher than the back.
Questions:
- Is it possible that my collision caused this? I don’t think so anymore because there’s a height difference from the front of the machine to the back.
- could this be due to sag in the table over time? I’d be a little surprised given that it’s 1.5” MDF.
THANKS in advance!
