Upgrade package to Elite/Redline Controller from Original/Pro/BB Controller?

I think MANY of your existing and longtime customers would be VERY interested in an upgrade package that takes an Original/PRO/BB Controller based machine to an Elite/Redline Controller based machine. I personally have held off upgrading because I wasn’t a fan of the Masso controller’s interface. I think this would be a HUGE hit with what may be your largest and longest customer base!!

I have been on the lookout for a replacement controller for my Buildbotics controller and this just might be the answer as the Masso is out of my budget right now and the B.B. is driving me crazy with the issue with pause/stop and the touch screen becoming unresponsive. Also coming from using Open Builds Control (RIP Open Builds) not having feed override is irritating as well.

I’m in favor of that because my BB controller is still not working with my rotor.

Yes, the new controller should be make to work with all the older machines. This would be huge as the BB controller has big problems (screen freezing mid carve).

I upgraded my BB to Masso in July. I wish I hadn’t. My old setting worked just fine. I had worked out all the kinks and issues with it and it was working seamlessly. Now I’m having so much problems with the system. Spending three days at a time unproductively changing settings and trying to make it work and the next job goes back to breaking down again. I’m getting so frustrated. Ready to get rid of the Masso and the ATC and go back to the original BB controller and setup.

Thank you for the feedback. I want to see what real users say before jumping on the Redline controller. What they are calling an ATC is not what I had in mind. Hope some other ATC like PWN CNC will be supported.

The post above this one specifically asks about an upgrade path from BB to Redline. Looks like it is planned, just no information yet.

I’m specifically holding out until Black Friday this year to upgrade through the IPP to an Elite Journeyman. Am really hoping we get the option to upgrade to an Elite w/ Redline instead of Masso. If the Redline Elite IPP was an option i’d pull the trigger immediately.
