Vectric Post Processor Using Z to Move A?

While trying to run a file using the Onefinity BB Y2A post processor I noticed that, after loading the file, moving the Y axis with the controller does NOT move the A axis. Instead, the A axis moves after controlling the Z axis with the controller. Weirdly, if I restart the machine and attempt to home when the rotaty is turned on then it homes Y at the location the machine was at when it was restarted. Is anyone else experiencing this?

Thanks!

Jess

On the bb controller, the a azixs is controller with the right stick left and right directions.

But when I use the left stick, prior to uploading a file, then Y axis movements rotate the A axis head. Additionally, I am still having the issue where it will not remember where it is in the Y axis. Also, and I’m sorry if I’m being thick here, but what does right stick left and right directions mean? Like, if I move the right stick left and right, versus up and down, it will rotate the A axis and that’s expected behavior? Even though it moves the A axis with the left stick moving up and down when I boot it up?

I also should say, when I switch to rotary it will move the A axis head with left stick Y movements (meaning I pull the left stick towards myself and the A axis rotates towards me in addition to moving the router towards me). However, once I load a file, the rotary function is automatically turned off. Once I turn the rotary function back on then I am having the issue where the A axis is rotating with the right stick. Hard to say if it’s left or right, I didn’t test that yet. But it does seem sporadic. So which is the expected behavior and why is it turning off rotary when I load a file?

Are you on firmware 1.6.6?

I am! I just confirmed by the way that (like you said) the right stick is moving the A axis if I move that stick left to right. Still weird that, before I load a file, the left stick moving up and down will rotate the head. Thanks for you help by the way, I really appreciate it!
