A week ago I ask about the height that I should install the Z20 frame on a Elite Foreman for a 80 mm PwnCNC spindle. I am using the Suckit Dust Boot which has arms that connect to the slots on the Z20 frame. I was told to move this question to the spindle manufacturers forum. It turns out the the mounting height is controlled by the Suckit Dust Boot arms. The Z20 frame has to be installed in the lowest position for the Suckit Dust Boot arms to work properly. So this was a Onefinity question after all.

There are a lot of variables that go into where your Z-Axis needs to mount. The most important is where your wasteboard sits relative to the foot of your machine as the only fixed dimension in the machine stack up is the distance from the machine mounting to the Z-Axis mounting holes on the Y-Axis gantry plate.
If the dust boot arms don’t reach where you want, it just means your waste board likely sits low.
It’s not a Onefinity question or a Spindle manufacturer question. The answer will be different for each user depending on their setup.
