Does the 10" touch screen have more functions than the 7"?
the 7" is rally small for my old eyes.
Also in some of the photos in member post I see that there are several icons under the directional portion of the screen. My screen does not include these additional icons.
The 10" is just diagonally larger. I chose it just for that reason, larger real estate for more actions without scrolling around - I recommend it.
There are other touchscreen monitors out there that are compatible with the raspberry pi too, I just have not done any research on them.
If the 7" is hard to see the 10" would be better but I would suggest going even larger. There’s at least one thread here that talks about monitors that will work. I don’t know about the 7" but my 10" monitor uses a magnetic mount on the back that isn’t as secure as I would like. At some point I’ll upgrade to a larger one that I can mount in a more stable way.
Yeah, I don’t like the magnets either - I’ll make a new mount for mine soon.
I got a 15" touch monitor and it works very well. However, it doesn’t look like it’s available currently.
