I am in the same position too. I have a Journeyman 1st gen and a rotary, which I have not setup yet. I think that building a trap door is too … complicated. It also have to be quite accurate to be repeatable. I would be happy to read what other people think about it or came up with already.

@HardtailSr I built a system many years ago for someone else on a non Onefinity machine that lowered and raised into the table using two linear actuators and 4 linear rails. @CalgaryD Repeatability is easy if you use locating pins when you install the rotary. You just need to remember that when you resurface your wasteboard you need to have the door installed so that it gets surfaced as well.

Thanks to all that responded to this post. I very much appreciate it. I have decided to try yet another method and I will post the results as soon as i get my gen 2 set up. I will just say I am involving a lift table. It looks like I will be needing yet another atc later on. This is getting expensiv…
