Anybody have a rotary yet?

The table of dates on the web page under Shipping Info. It also states there that any inquiries will just refer you back to that page. You’re not gonna get real time tracking.

This is what I am doing right now in anticipation of my Elite Foreman showing up. My order number is so far back they don’t even have a date for it, just know it will be after March 16 or somewhere thereabout whatever the last date they currently list. I put all their info from that page into a spreadsheet and forecast the trend line forward until I got to my order number (#543xx) and it gave me April 3.

So here I am, reading everything I can and getting started on the table and electrical upgrades in the meantime.

I read somewhere that on the accessories they are filling the orders that have machines first. I hope so since what the heck am I going to do with a machine and no spindle?

I’m sure it sucks for those waiting on their upgrades, but think about it what is worse, waiting for an upgrade to a machine that you can at least currently use or waiting to get one last part of your new machine you can’t even use?

Official Onefinity account replied within the past few days that they are about to arrive by train, so there could be hundreds or even thousands of them in there that could start going out. They say they sold 4000 in the first few minutes.
I have a hunch everybody will be just about sick of waiting and then the dam will break and you will have some people who waited months getting them within days of someone else who ordered much more recently.

wow I am over 500 orders behind you. 54823 what does your spread sheet say about that?

If the math is to be trusted, between 4/20 and 4/23

EDIT: made chart more readable. Right click and open in new tab to expand.
If anyone who has already received their order wants to share order numbers and ship dates, that will help the formula better forecast into the future.
EDIT: reposted image again, google sheets is fickle

With the shipment of Onefinity Rotary units starting soon(ish), I wonder if the initial batch will depend on the variant ordered. There are several variants of course including controller (Elite vs BB), size (Woodworker vs Journeymen/Foreman) and mount (Std vs QCW).
Excited to play with the new rotary axis (Elite WW Std) once it arrives. Order #51741 placed fairly quickly on release day.

I would imagine it must. That train is probably full of components and then they will have to assemble/ configure them to the order specs.

So…are we still waiting for the train???

Looks like more delays, Onefinity updated the shipping info for the rotaries as follows:

12-14 Weeks. Delayed.
The initial batch will begin shipping in March, followed by subsequent batches in the order of the queue in the following months.

I am getting sick of waiting as well, Look I love 1F, love their product and support. But making people wait this long when you said it would be shipping at a certain time and then can’t ship anywhere even close to this, kinda unacceptable. I ordered my 4th within the first 10 minutes of going live. I will wait for mine to arrive, no worries. But I will never buy any product again from them during the Holidays or when they are releasing things. I will just wait till the rush is over. Cause the wait we are going thru right now vs what was written on the sale about shipping is just not right to the customer. period. they know how there sales go and they knew the numbers were going to be up, almost everybody wanted one.

they should have had atleast 1000 units available when it was released. they make good on their products.

They couldn’t, they needed our money to fund it. Remember, the design still wasn’t even finalized till after they sold more that they can handle. I remeber my dad saying some thing about writing checks that your (specific body part) can’t cover.

We’re currently waiting on just the gearboxes. Before the tariff threats from the U.S. President, we could airship from China (our gearbox source) within 3 days. Once the threats emerged, almost every business in North America suddenly switched from ocean shipping to air shipping, pushing the usual 3-day trip to a 3-4 week trip as demand skyrocketed.

At the time of preorder, tariffs were not even a whisper. We had no way to foresee this happening.

We do our best to estimate orders, demand, and projections. Unfortunately (or fortunately), demand for our 2024 releases was 100 times more than we expected and planned for.

What we can promise is that everyone at Onefinity is working extremely hard to get the items you ordered to you as quickly as possible. We’re doing everything within our power to make that happen, but sometimes, certain parts are out of our control and why we we stated on our lead times they are estimates.

We want to ensure you receive the best items we can produce, not just an off-the-shelf standard part. We believe you’ll find the rotary worth the wait. It’s truly magical to see it in action.

The last info we got was that you guys were waiting on a train, expected last week. So, either this info was incomplete, or just incorrect. Look guys, we’re not asking for miracles and we know there is a lot out of your control. Just stop making b.s. promises when you really don’t have a clue. You can just say “we don’t have a clue”…that is an acceptable answer! And when you learn new information, it would be great if you could just SHARE that information without us having to pull teeth.

this is all we wanted, an update. it does not add any additional cost or anything. just a quick update for all to see. and i truly understand all you just said, it’s like this, I don’t mind waiting 3, 4 or 5 months for something if i know, but when it gets to it is going way over the wait time with no update, that’s not right. only takes a minute.

And i do understand about the tariff crap throwing a wrench in things, i do, we are going thru that at work.

Thank you for updating us on what is going on, i do truly thank you. Thats all I wanted.

We are waiting for the train from port to us. The plane took a few weeks longer to get to the train.

We understand. We want to get them out just as much as you want to get it in. We’re working hard at that.
