They did it today. If you want to see when they say your order will be shipped
(approximately) go to the home page click on support and then to the right is shipping info click on that then scroll all the way down and find the grouped orders and shipping date mine is about April 20 so seven more weeks for me. Since I have moved my shop, I will need every minute of that to rearrange and organize. Thank you Onefinity ! Oh and I am selling my x50 journeyman. Any idea what a two-year-old journeyman xx550 is going for used with about 50 hours on it? ask for details. It is pretty tricked out but no table I am keeping that. for my new elite.
So ATCs are now delayed a month from late Feb to late March. Great. RapidChange having supply chain problems too?
Thanks for the update, I will check out the updated shipping info! I’m in the same boat, trying to get my shop cleaned out and selling a few tools to make room for my journeyman. I am curious about the warranty and when it starts since I already received the machine but not the spindle or ATC. It’s not like I can use the machine without the spindle.
Numbers seem to line up with the predictions I got from my previous chart.
This is my main concern a long wait between machine arriving and spindle. I feel like I am far enough back in the queue they should arrive close to same time.
“You can use a router with an adapter sleeve until you get the spindle”
Yes, assuming you already have a router, and want to buy/print a sleeve just as a temporary measure. Not a realistic answer to me. I spent considerable extra money to NOT be using a router.
All they list for the spindle is “12-14 weeks”. Well, 12-14 weeks from WHEN? Because according to their latest dates, my machine should ship 13 weeks after order date. So maybe a week later? I sure hope so.
I guess the rotarys, ATCs, and spindles are all on that same plane-train…
Ordered everything together here and my machine is already here although I’m on the March 9th shipping date. Spindle supposedly isn’t shipping till end of April. So large paperweight. I don’t want to spend even more to get a router to use for 2 months.
Understand avoiding the extra expense. We were in the same situation waiting on spindle and router burned out. I tested out a Harbor Freight Bauer palm router. Has worked great so far and is quiet a bit less than the Makita. I have mainly been working softer wood recently. Fit legacy X50 without mods.
I am anxiously awaiting my new Z-slider, etc. Hope to have soon. But in meantime I am satisfied with my HF router.
What is the diameter on that HF router? Makita is 65mm and Dewalt 69mm so nothing is standard
Please provide the URL. Thank you
I used a Bauer and I liked it better than the Makita. I think it is smoother and quieter. And the speed dial stays in place and does not vibrate loose.
I went down a rabbit hole when the Makita bit the dust and found the HF alternative. It basically the Makita in red plastic. The measurements were just shy of 65MM, l have had no issues with mine fitting into the 65mm bracket and maintaining position.
Yes, it is a little quieter than the Makita and the speed dial seems to hold position better.
The hardest trial I have put it through was a 5+ hour double sided 3D carve. Soft wood, yes. Results were as good as Makita projects.
Same issue for me, but I got my CNC end of January and got the spindle last week. Still waiting for the atc.
